Dev Referral Program

Attention Coding Ninjas

Refer once // Earn 25% Then 5% for life

You know the projects. We know how to ship them. Send us one, and take 25% of everything we collect for the first 3 months — then 5% for as long as the client stays. Paid out every month, no cap, no expiry.

What one referral is worth

On a $40k/mo pod that runs 18 months — our median — that’s $60,000 to you.

02 / The math

One intro. Then a check every month.

Most referral programs hand you a one-time finder’s fee and forget your name. This one pays you a quarter of everything we collect for the first three months, and keeps paying 5% for as long as the client keeps working with us. Move the sliders.

Your referral

$40,000
A single senior pod typically runs $28k–$65k/mo. Larger programs run several pods at once.
18 months
Our median engagement passes 18 months. Rescue work that turns into a pod runs longer.
1
1 projects of roughly this size
Every referral is tracked separately. There is no cap and no diminishing rate.

The small print: commissions are calculated on revenue actually collected from the referred client — not on invoiced, booked, or contracted amounts. Payouts are issued monthly for the prior month’s collections. Refunds, credits, write-offs, and chargebacks are netted against future commission. Figures above are an illustration you control with the sliders, not a quote, forecast, or guarantee of earnings. Full terms are in the referral agreement you sign before your first payout.

03 / Proof

You are not sending them to a gamble

Your name is on the introduction, so what matters is what happens to the client after you make it. This is the same bench and the same delivery model your referral gets — the numbers TopDevz publishes to its own prospects.

Fixed cost

Engagements are quoted fixed, not open-ended hourly. The client you introduce does not get an invoice they did not expect — which is what would come back on you.

Visible delivery

Every engagement runs on PULSE: live budget burn, velocity, scope drift and test coverage from 400+ data points per engineer. Problems surface in days, not invoices.

No strings on you

No exclusivity, no minimums, no cost. Refer to us and to anyone else, keep your own clients, and stay as involved or as uninvolved as you like.

Figures as published on topdevz.com. Ask for current case studies on your call.

One page. Two minutes. Nothing about your client until you are ready.
04 / The structure

Two rates. Both of them yours.

Phase one
25%
Of collected revenue, months 1–3

The heaviest cheque lands first. On a $40k/mo engagement that is $10,000 to you every month for the first quarter — before most programs have paid you anything at all. You are not waiting for a project to close out.

Phase two
5%
Of collected revenue, for the life of the project

Then it becomes an annuity. Every month that client stays with TopDevz, 5% comes to you. No renewal to negotiate, no expiry date, no requirement to stay involved. Clients who expand to a second pod expand your residual with them.

Signing costs you nothing and commits you to nothing. It just protects the lead before you name it.
05 / How it works

Three steps. Then you’re done.

You are not expected to sell, scope, or manage anything. Make the introduction and step back — or stay in the room, if you’d rather. Both pay identically.

01
STEP 01

Register and sign

Join the program and sign the one-page referral agreement. It puts your protection in writing before you name anyone, so your lead source stays yours. To get started we only need your contact details for next steps — nothing about the client yet.

02
STEP 02

Name the lead, we take the call

Now you send the company and a contact, and your claim is timestamped — first registration wins and it holds for 12 months. Our senior engineers run the technical conversation, scope the work, and write the proposal. You get a copy of every update.

03
STEP 03

You get paid, monthly

Once the client pays their first invoice, your commission starts. Payouts go out every month against the prior month’s collections, with a statement showing exactly what was collected and what your share was.

06 / Coverage

Refer almost any software project

You never have to work out whether we can staff it. TopDevz covers 221+ skill sets across DevOps, coding, QA and project management — so if the work is software delivery, it is almost certainly something we can take on. Make the introduction and let us qualify the stack.

221+
skillsets on the bench, spanning the four disciplines a software project actually needs to ship.

DevOps

Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers and orchestration, observability, and the platform work that makes releases boring.

Coding

Frontend, backend, mobile, data and systems engineering across the mainstream language and framework families.

QA

Test automation, performance and load testing, security testing, and release verification that holds up under real traffic.

Project Management

Delivery leadership, product ownership, scoping and estimation, and the reporting that keeps your client’s stakeholders calm.

100% remote — it does not matter where the project is. Refer a client in any country. We pay globally — commissions go out worldwide, wherever you are based.

Send these our way

  • Any software project that needs a real team. Across 221+ skill sets in DevOps, coding, QA and project management — you do not need to pre-qualify the stack.
  • AI-generated codebases that stalled. The demo worked, production didn’t. This is our single most common engagement.
  • Teams that need senior capacity fast. U.S. and Canada based pods, in your timezone, shipping in weeks not quarters.
  • Companies trying to get AI into their product. Integration sprints with a defined scope and a shipped result.
  • Founders who just lost their lead engineer. Rescue, document, stabilise, then keep shipping.
  • Agencies with more demand than bench. White-label friendly. We stay behind your brand if you want us to.
Register first, name the lead when you have one. The agreement is what timestamps your claim.
07 / Join

Get your referral agreement

This is step one. Give us your details and we send you the one-page referral agreement to sign — that is what protects your lead source before you name anyone. Nothing about the client yet. No exclusivity, no minimums, no cost to you, and we work with referrers worldwide.

You’ve already met the client who needs this.
The introduction is the whole job.

TopDevz runs senior U.S. and Canada-based engineering teams that rescue AI-generated codebases, stand up delivery pods, and ship AI integration sprints — with live delivery intelligence through PULSE. When you send someone our way, that’s what they get, and your name is attached to it.

Prefer to talk it through before signing anything? Book fifteen minutes and we’ll walk you through the payout mechanics, the tracking, and what a good first referral looks like.

08 / Questions

The things people ask first

When exactly does the 25% stop and the 5% start?
The 25% rate applies to revenue collected from your referred client in their first three months of billing. From month four onward, and for the entire remaining life of that engagement, you earn 5%. If the client pauses and restarts, the clock does not reset — you stay on the 5% residual.
What does “actually collected revenue” mean?
Commission is calculated on money that has landed in TopDevz’s account from that client — not on what was invoiced, booked, or written into a statement of work. If a client is invoiced $50,000 and pays $50,000, your commission is on $50,000. If they pay $30,000, it’s on $30,000. You are never asked to chase a payment, and you are never penalised for one that arrives late — you’re paid when it arrives.
How and when do I get paid?
Monthly. Each month we reconcile the prior month’s collections and issue your payout with a statement showing what was collected on your referrals and how your share was calculated. Payment goes out by ACH, wire, or PayPal — your choice. There is no minimum threshold to clear before your first payout.
Is there a cap, or does the rate decay over time?
No cap, and no decay. The 5% is flat for the life of the engagement, on every dollar collected. If your referred client grows from one pod to three, your residual grows with them — the rate doesn’t step down because the number got large.
What if I want to stay involved in the project?
You’re welcome to. Some referrers hand off entirely; others stay on as an advisor or keep a slice of the work for themselves. The commission is identical either way — we don’t pay you less for staying, and we don’t require you to stay to keep earning.
How do you stop two people claiming the same referral?
First registration wins. Register the company name before the conversation starts and it’s attributed to you for 12 months, whether or not the deal closes quickly. If the company is already an active TopDevz client or in an open pipeline, we tell you straight away rather than letting you find out later.
I’m outside the US. Can I still refer, and can you pay me?
Yes to both. TopDevz works 100% remote, so it does not matter where your referral is based — the client can be in any country. And we pay referral commissions globally, by wire, ACH or PayPal depending on where you are. Your location does not change your rate: it is the same 25% and 5% everywhere.
Do I need to be a developer to refer?
No. The program is built for engineers because engineers hear about broken codebases first — but agencies, fractional CTOs, founders, and investors are all on the same terms.
Is this page public?
It’s reachable by anyone with the link, but it isn’t listed in the site navigation and isn’t indexed by search engines. Share it with people you’d actually want in the network.
